There are many degree programs taught at Abu Dhabi University some may require an English proficiency certificate like IELTS. The duration of the scholarship is 4 years. Once accepted for the scholarship candidates then do not need to re-apply as long as they meet the scholarship maintenance criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Scholarship
- This scholarship is available to the top 20 public secondary school graduates across the UAE who are newly admitted and join ADU in the fall semester of the year that they graduate from high school only
- Receipt of the scholarship is contingent upon the selection and formal approval from the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed AI Nahyan
- The scholarship is applicable to the period of time the student is enrolled at ADU on a full-time basis (registered with a minimum of 12 credit hours)
- Meeting the English language proficiency requirements defined by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Eligibility Criteria for Chairman’s Scholarship
- This scholarship is available to students who obtain an average of 97% or above in each of their last three years of secondary school (grades 10,11 and 12), who are newly graduated from secondary school and join ADU in the same year as their secondary school graduation
- Receipt of the scholarship is contingent upon the selection and formal approval from the Office of the Chairman
- The scholarship is applicable to the period of time the student is enrolled at ADU on a full-time basis (registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours)
- Meeting the English language proficiency requirements defined by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

- From 10% up to 50% waiver on tuition fees for UAE residents and GCC candidates (GCC candidates must provide officially attested documents).
